What’s new vs Karu 16
The Karu 2 Pro is the second-generation successor to the Karu 16. The borosilicate glass door is 46% larger and features ClearView™ technology — an airwash effect keeps the glass clear of soot so you can monitor your bake at all times without opening the door. The Ooni Connect™ Digital Temperature Hub mounts on the front of the oven and displays real-time ambient temperature inside the chamber. The included food probe reads meat temperatures. Both readings sync wirelessly to your phone via Bluetooth and the Ooni app. Flame Keeper technology optimises airflow and heat distribution for a more even cooking surface temperature.
Fuel options
Wood (kiln-dried hardwood logs up to 20cm, not pellets) and lump charcoal are supported out of the box via the perforated fuel tray. The Karu 2 Pro Gas Burner attaches in under a minute and uses propane gas for temperature-controlled, flame-free convenience. Gas Burner sold separately.
